Tote Bag
FURNITURE DESIGN
With past sewing experience, access to a sewing machine, and some free time, I set out to make this versatile tote bag. It features a laptop pocket, multiple spots to attach a water bottle, an additional strap that clips on for security while biking, and smaller compartments for a notebook, wallet, phone, or other essentials. This project, my first experience making accessories, gave me hands-on practice with pattern-making and experimenting with different types of hardware.
Process
This process was quite fun to figure out. Making this pattern brought on challenges and a great opportunity to grow my skills. The zipper was an especially fun section to work on as it allowed me to focus on the details of the user’s experience.
