FURNITURE DESIGN
The purpose of this project was to practice joinery without hardware. This skill requires high precision and is something I want to master through my work. Having made this project at an in-home workshop, however, and not having access to all the top-of-the-line machinery provided by my university shop, this precision presented challenges.
Process
I ran into many problems, specifically with the table saw fence being unreliably wobbly, and the ancient bandsaw motor on the verge of collapse. Finding solutions to these problems was a fun and interesting journey and challenged me to be resourceful and creative in a more technical way.
